The work will not take more than half of the time in an average work day, sometimes less. We need artists who will be responsible, so that we can leave the ship to them when we are in Kalinjar. Our staff will be there to do all the work. It is all small scale, and in the same space with the artist studios, so it can be done simultaneously, like we do ourselves when we work as artists as well as take care of the residency.

It will be a bonus if you can make coffee from an espresso machine, and/or make simple things like open face sandwiches on sourdough bread (which we make in-house). And see that our staff is serving ‘fika’ well – our homemade cardamom buns, biscotti, muffins, etc.

For the Airbnbs, when there is a booking, our staff will set up everything, and you will have to do a quality check of the room and facilities before the guests arrive. In case of the guests needing something, you will need to understand it and instruct our staff to the needful.

Artists will have to be responsible for themselves. You will be provided everything as usual with our residencies, with the exception that we may not always be there present for you. Our staff will, but you will have to make decisions for yourself.

This time, artists will be first selected based on the help they can provide, their leadership and team-playing qualities, and personality, with the quality of their work and practice as artists being a secondary criteria.
